There is a historical marker on Main Street in Gatesville at the end
of Court Street about
William P. Roberts and it reads as follows:
William P. Roberts
A Confederate Brigadeer General at age 23,
State Auditor, a memeber of Convention of 1875.
His grave is 700 yds. west.
