Lucille B. Berryman
GATES - Lucille Bunch Berryman, 93, a native of Chowan County, died March 30, 2003 in Down East Health and Rehab, Gatesville.

Mrs. Berryman was a homemaker and a member of Warwick Baptist Church.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

A funeral was conducted Wednesday in Warwick Baptist Church by Dr. Charles Jones. Burial was in the church cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, was in charge.

Myrtle D. Horton
VIRGINIA BEACH -- Myrtle Dempsey Horton, 81, a native of Aulander, died March 31, 2003. after a long illness. She was the widow of Roshus Patrick Horton.

A service of remembrance will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Robert Jordon. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Condolences may also be made to www.kellumfuneralhome.com.

Survivors include a son, Stephen Horton of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Patricia H. Bocock and Darlene Williams, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Inell Williams of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
