Gates County IndexJune 19, 2002Wallace E. Holley A funeral was conducted June 13, 2002 at Blanchard's Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Ferebee officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Ella Holley of Edenton; one daughter, Sheria Holley of Gates; three stepdaughters, Tracy Brown, Sonda Brown and Treketa Brown, all of Elizabeth City; a stepson, Julius Brown of Columbus, Ohio: his parents, James C. and Daisy L. Jordan Holley of Gates; two brothers, James R. Holley of Corapeake and Crandall C. Holley of Sunbury; one sister, Paula E. Walker of Hobbsville; maternal grandmother, Minnie Bell-Brown and step-grandfather, James E. Brown of Gates; and 15 step-grandchildren. Diane W. Futrell Futrell was a member of Soul Saving Station. A funeral was held June 15, 2002 at Soul Saving Station with the Rev. Donnie Graham officiating. Survivors include her husband, James Futrell of Ahoskie;
three sons, Melvin A. Futrell of Portsmouth, Va, Wayne A. Futrell of
Ahoskie and Darryl Futrell of Greenville; two daughters, Rosa M. Goggans
of Riverdale, Md. and Donna L. Opara of Greenbelt, Md; her father, Junious
Wiggins (Buster) of Ahoskie; three brothers, Melvin Wiggins of Gates
County. Ernest Wiggins of Chesapeake. Va. and Clifton Wiggins of Virginia
Beach. Va.; five sisters. Queen Lassiter of Ahoskie, Helen Moore of
Hampton, Va., Irene Wiggins, Loretta Wiggins of Norfolk, Va., and Vera
Gilchrist of Memphis, TN; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. |
