He was a member of Bayside Lodge No. 218 AF&AM in Virginia Beach, and past master; a member of Khedive Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Chesapeake, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rites in Norfolk; a member of Knights of Mecca of Khedive Temple and member and past secretary of Khedive Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. Desert Patrol. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 79 in South Hill Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from Feb. 7, 1956 to Feb. 6, 1959, and was honorably discharged. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wilder Parks; a stepdaughter, Robin Faulkner of Henderson; three stepsons, Michael Capps of Oxford, Michael Honsinger of Birmingham, Ala. and Russell Honsinger of Gretna, La.; two sisters, Ola Mae Draper of Emporia, Va., and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Charles R.
