A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Windsor United Methodist Church. Memorials gifts may be given to Windsor United Methodist Church or to the Windsor Fire Dept. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge. Mrs. Kearney retired from Farmers Home Association after 34 years of service. She was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Kearney Spivey of Windsor; son, Dr. Henry A. Kearney III of Robersonville; and five grandchildren. Mable L. Grant NEWSOMS, Va. - Mable Lee Grant, 68, died May 15, 2003 in Obici Hospital. Mrs. Grant was a member of New Piney Grove Baptist Church, Newsoms. Survivors include three daughters, Denise Grant, Diane Suiter and Annie Murphy; a son, Edward Grant; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral was conducted Monday in New Piney Grove Baptist Church, Sunbeam, Va. Burial was in Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, Como. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge. William H. Knight NORFOLK, Va. - William H. Knight, a native of Murfreesboro, died May 9, 2003, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A graveside service was conducted Monday in Oakland Cemetery, Hampton. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, was in charge. Knight was a roofer with American Sheet Metal and a Baptist. He was a member of Abyssinia Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Emmaline Prines and Lillie Mae Glover; and two brothers, Paul Knight and LeRoy Knight, all of Norfolk. Glenwood C. Butler PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Glenwood Charles Butler, 60, of Maurice Avenue, died May 16, 2003 in a Portsmouth hospital. A graveside service was conducted Monday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Tom Potter. The family received friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Butler was born in Ahoskie and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of The Catholic Club and an avid golfer. Survivors include his mother, Lillie Leggett Joyner of Chesapeake; daughter, Angela B. Tippins of Portsmouth; a son, Matthew T. Butler of Virginia Beach; a sister, Peggy B. Hannah of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren, Dylan Pritchett, Jeremy Pritchett and Tyler Tippins. Leo V. Norman HERTFORD - Leo Vinson Norman, 72, a native of Bertie County, died May 16, 2003 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A funeral was conducted Sunday in Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Edenton. Burial was in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Norman was a retired truck driver with the Weyerhauser Corp. of Plymouth. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Byrum Norman; a stepdaughter, Marian Casper of Belvidere; a stepson, John Richard Byrum of Tyner; a sister, Marjorie Boyce; a half sister, Donna Faye Swain; a half brother, Melvin Boyce, all of Edenton; six stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Murfreesboro by the Rev. Robert Richardson. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Murfreesboro. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is in charge. Survivors include two children, Jarvia J. Newsome of Winton and Debbie J. Ruffin of Smithfield, Va.; sisters and brothers, Johnnie R.
