WILLIAMSTON -- Albert Barron Elmore, 67, of Prison Camp Road, died Jan. 25, 2003. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home.

EDENTON -- Dorothy Twiddy Lodge, died Jan. 28, 2003. Arrangements are incomplete at Miller Funeral Home in Edenton.

Warner L. Madre
HERTFORD -- Warner Leafe Madre, 91, died Jan. 28, 2003. A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Swindell Funeral Home.

Charles O. McMullan
ELIZABETH CITY -- Charles Oscar ``C.O.'' McMullan, 79, died Jan. 27, 2003. A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Twiford's Memorial Chapel.

Merritt M. Pallette
MOYOCK -- Merritt Marvin Pallette, 89, of Ratcliffe Road, died Jan. 27, 2003 at his residence.

Mr. Pallette was born May 4, 1913 in Norfolk, the son of the late George Pallette Sr. and the late Camelia Lambert Pallette. He was the widower of Margurite Merritt Pallette. Mr. Pallette was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and was a warehouse supervisor.

He is survived by his son, Richard L. Pallette Sr. and his wife Kathleen; two grandchildren, Shannon Smailes and Richard L. Pallette Jr.; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Joe Griffith. The family will be receiving friends at their residence. Twiford Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.

Harvey R. Sanford
WINDSOR -- Harvey Rodman Sanford, 77, died Jan. 27, 2003. A graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Edgewood Cemetery. Walker Funeral Home in charge.
