Lou Ella Byrum

EDENTON -- Lou Ella Byrum, 85, of the 400 block of River Road, died May 9, 2003, in Chowan Hospital.

A Celebration of Mrs. Byrum's life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Edenton Church of God with the Rev. Donald Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Evans Funerals & Cremations of Edenton.

EDENTON -- Joe Thomas Jones, 63, died May 10, 2003. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home.

PENDLETON -- Brady ``Gale'' Lewis, 78, died May 9, 2003. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Galilee Baptist Church, Branchville. Faison's Funeral Home, Seaboard, in charge.

WATERLILY -- John Woodrow Whitson, 86, formerly of Perkins Lane, died May 10, 2003. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Hamption Cemetery in Waterlily. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is in charge.
