Cuthrell HOBBSVILLE -- Jerry Lee Cuthrell, 62, of the 200 block of Keys Cross Road, died May 10, 2003, in Brian Care Center, Hertford. Mr. Cuthrell was born in Hyde County. He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and was a member of the Water Swamp Hunt Club. Preceded in death by his father, Woodrow A. Cuthrell and his stepfather, Ralph McDaniel, he is survived by his mother, Rachel Mooney McDaniel of Sunbury; his daughter, Connie Cuthrell and her fiance, Patrick Floyd of Eure; a sister, Camilla Bunch and her husband, Earl, of Dinwiddie, Va.; five half-sisters, Jackie Sawyer and husband Jesse, Marie Sawyer and husband Bill, Louise McDonnzile and husband Kenny, Ann Lewis and husband Hubert, and Zoradia Cuthrell; two half-brothers, James Cuthrell and wife Bonita and Albert Cuthrell and wife Paula, all of the Hyde County, N.C., area; an aunt, Ruth Midgette of Washington, N.C.; an uncle, William Cuthrell of Kilkenny; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Damascus Christian Church by the Rev. Forrest Guthrie. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the home of his mother, 1490 U.S. Hwy. 158, Sunbury.
