ROANOKE RAPIDS -- George Wilson Barnard, 84, of the 1300 block of E. Ninth St., died May 18, 2003. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Massey Funeral Home, Jackson, is in charge.
WILLIAMSTON -- Jack Hardison, 78, of the 19300 block of U.S. Highway 64, died May 18, 2003. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holly Springs United Methodist Church. Biggs Funeral Home is in charge.
WINDSOR -- Annie Wynns Yates Kearney, 78, of the 600 block of Taylor St., died May 17, 2003, at her home. She was born on March 17, 1925, in Windsor, to the late Alfred James ``A.J.'' Yates and Annie Mitchell Yates. Mrs. Kearney retired from Farmers Home Association after 34 years of service. Mrs. Kearney was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Kearney Spivey and husband W.R. ``Russ'' Spivey of Windsor; son, Dr. Henry A. Kearney III and wife Carrie W. Kearney of Robersonville, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Mitchell and Blake Spivey of Windsor and Henry Kearney IV, Liz and Lee Kearney of Robersonville. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Windsor United Methodist Church. Memorials gifts may be given to Windsor United Methodist Church or to the Windsor Fire Dept. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge.
MANNS HARBOR -- Sidney Ray Tatem, 75, died May 15, 2003. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kitty Hawk. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge.
